It’s a quick romp for the experienced gamers, but the kid gamers? It’ll definitely give them a satisfying sense of accomplishment since it won’t be too difficult to complete.
  2. While not quite worthy of a Michelin star, fans of the film and kids looking for fun will be thrilled. It might not offer the biggest of helpings but, while it lasts, Ratatouille tastes great.
  3. Ratatouille for the DS serves up a lively mix of 3D levels and touch-screen cooking tasks, but it's over too soon.
  4. It manages to stick to the source material and present a decent amount of enjoyment, and it does so with a good amount of style.
  5. Essentially, Ratatouille would be a perfect purchase for somebody fitting any two of these criteria: a young child, somebody relatively unskilled at gaming or a huge fan of the film on which the game is based.
  6. There isn’t much to this game and it is very short. More challenges and variety of gameplay would have helped.
  7. A generic platformer with a movie license slapped on it, this better than most but a tiger cannot be expected to change its stripes.

    Utterly tiresome. [Oct 2007, p.76]

While the visuals make decent use of the DS hardware, the gameplay is very basic and gets repetitive even after a short period. There are a few moments of fun such as when you’re cooking, but otherwise, there’s nothing overly impressive about Ratatouille.
