  1. There are not many games out there that incorporate learning and are still a super fun for kids to play. This game will put a good impression in your kids mind. It contains no violence and it’s very interactive. Your kids can learn to count and speak a little Spanish at the same time.
  2. Dora the Explorer Saves the Mermaids is an average game. It’s not a bad game, but neither is it very good. The mini-games are not engaging for the most part except for a few, and the whole structure is choppy. "Go Diego Go" is designed in a similar manner by the same design company, but for whatever reason, is much more fun.
  3. The game proffers average stylus-based mini-games and good production values; however, the title can easily be played in one sitting by most players, even children, so kids may grow tired of it in one day.
  4. For an average player, Dora Saves the Mermaids for the NDS takes about 15 minutes to see and play every single mini-game. If you're factoring in age, I could see it taking a bit longer, but I can't see anyone over the age of four taking more than an hour to play through every mini-game at least once.
  5. There's nothing to this little DS cart that the show can't give, and although the games are certainly very friendly to its target audience, there's a lot more that you can do for your children in the world of video games if you want them to grow up treating the industry right.

This game is bad and glitches out. Like you can beat it about 15 - 30 minutes. It is SUPER easy and i think this is the worlds worst video game in history!!! Full Review »
