There are not many games out there that incorporate learning and are still a super fun for kids to play. This game will put a good impression in your kids mind. It contains no violence and it’s very interactive. Your kids can learn to count and speak a little Spanish at the same time.

65Dora the Explorer Saves the Mermaids is an average game. It’s not a bad game, but neither is it very good. The mini-games are not engaging for the most part except for a few, and the whole structure is choppy. "Go Diego Go" is designed in a similar manner by the same design company, but for whatever reason, is much more fun.

57The game proffers average stylus-based mini-games and good production values; however, the title can easily be played in one sitting by most players, even children, so kids may grow tired of it in one day.
-
For an average player, Dora Saves the Mermaids for the NDS takes about 15 minutes to see and play every single mini-game. If you're factoring in age, I could see it taking a bit longer, but I can't see anyone over the age of four taking more than an hour to play through every mini-game at least once.
