  • Summary: Dragon Ball Z Harukanaru Densetsu is an all new DBZ experience for the Nintendo DS. Harukanaru Densetsu combines strategic card based gameplay and role playing to deliver a game that is easy to understand but hard to master. Players' progression is determined through their use of the cards to evolve characters, strengthen moves and create new moves. [Namco Bandai Games] Expand

  1. The card battling system never gives the player the feeling of being in control. Instead, most battles feel completely random and no amount of card handling skill can deal with a terrible hand when fighting some of the more powerful opponents.
  2. DBZ: HD feels like the developers actually put some effort into its creation. It's fun, and — dare I say it — somewhat innovative.
  3. If you’re a Dragonball Z fan this comes recommended, as knowing the characters and understanding the plot will only add to what’s already a decent game. For the rest of us, it’s a fun card-based game that’s only let down by its lack of difficulty and length. Worth looking at.
  4. Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu's attempt to do something different with card battling, while commendable, doesn't compensate for its shallow gameplay.
  5. Dragonball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu gets credit for trying to provide a more newbie-friendly card-battler, but it comes at the cost of the planning and complexity that makes the genre fun.

Not only can you learn how to play it in ten minutes, you can pretty much master the strategy of it in the same amount of time as well.
  7. Maybe the fans will find something enjoyable about controlling their favorite heroes via a randomized deck of cards. For the rest of you, go play some Solitaire. You deserve it.

It was great in the first few minutes, but all the cards felt powerful and, there was no strategy in it. Also there was not many stuff to do, just walking around waiting for some random battle momments. Expand
