  1. The game is fundamentally sound and makes good use of the second, touch screen of the Nintendo DS.
  2. 81
There's certainly room for improvement, but FIFA '06 was a shocker to boot up because of just how focused the game design is.
  3. The touch screen may be a bust for controlling the action on the pitch, but it's awesome for painting custom team crests. [Dec 2005, p.121]
  4. The good news is that the game plays an enjoyable match of soccer, makes decent use of the handheld's second screen, and boasts the same high level of presentation that we've come to expect from EA Sports in recent years.
  5. 60
An average attempt at soccer on the DS. EA appear to have tried to produce a fully fledged soccer game but we cannot help but feel that the DS version is stripped down.
  6. FIFA 06 set me up good. During the first half of the first match, I was all set to be completely amazed. Then I went four goals up before the thirtieth minute and things went downhill from there.

Absolutly Brilliant Game. What can I say? Everything in this game rocks except the blocky graphics at times and the same player in-out substitutions Great overall game though. Expand

Surprising how much has been fitted onto the small cart! virtually all the options of the console versions, plays well and offers great authenticity in real teams, kits and player names. Use of the touch screen is great for making subs and tactical changes and also for the excellent replays which can be manipulated just by using the touch screen controls. Only real let down is the lack of transfers in the Career and Season modes leading to not being able to update some of the latest transfer deals that have gone through after the game was finished. Also the first two difficulty levels are too easy meaning a quick step up the the harder professional mode in order to offer a decent challenge meaning a fairly steep learning curve. Overall a great game and one all football/Soccer fans shouldn't be without. Expand

Hmmm, in the tornament mode, i played the EFC using chelsea and won 2-0 over Sevilla in the final. But in the end, the screen says I'm been knocked out of the cup? Scores shown on screen sometimes do not comply with what i played!?! Then at visual simulation mode, i intervene halfway thru the game, but the player bar shows the players from opposition team players?!? These are the 3 problems i found out only playing it for less than half a day! Is my chip damaged? Expand

Miguel - not different centuries - different price ranges. This is quite a neat little football game. Graphics are fine if you don't mind not having close up replays of tackles, with photo fit faced star players, that you get on the console versions. It has some issues like cards not counting l(no bans on next match for a red). EA just seem to be rushing DS titles out like mad and quality is generally poor but for a EA game it's not that bad. May not be as pretty as the PSP version but aparantly plays better and of course you can uploqad to a friend's DS and have a 2 player VS game with 1 cart... Collapse

Man!, this is some ugly game.Comparing this to PES5 @ PSP, makes someone think this 2 machines are from diferent centuries.
