The additional features that are in FIFA 08 make this game well worth the money. I LOVE the Online (bout time EA), and the penalty shootout is fantastic!! Good job EA, sounds like you have listened to what the fans wanted in this game... welcome back Single-card play. I highly recommend this game to any soccer fan!

Poor AI, broken control, muddy graphics and unneccesery touchscreen features make this game medicore at the most.

Not bad graphics but gameplay is a little tedious in the controls area.

FIFA Soccer 08 could have been a great game, but wasn't. One problem was the controls were whack. Not getting schooled on the easiest setting was difficult. Another problem was that no one was ever online for the Wi-Fi connection, so that was just unwanted space on the game. I thought FIFA Soccer 2005 for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance was better, and FIFA Soccer 2005 is what encouraged me to buy FIFA Soccer 08. Other than that, great graphics, amazing instant replays; but overall, bad game. Expand

  1. If you're as serious about your soccer as EA is, then FIFA 08 won't disappoint. [Nov 2007, p. 102]
  2. While far from revolutionary it is a solid and balanced football game on a handheld generally lacking in technical muscle and raw power.
  3. Another example of the solid annual improvement expected in its sport franchises, FIFA 08 is EA's best DS footie game to date.
