85A thoroughly entertaining game that has a wide appeal for young and old. The low level of violence and simplicity of challenge makes it easy to play. A good solid family game that we highly recommend.
-
80It doesn't make particularly good use of the stylus, and the graphics won't blow you away, but if you're a Batman fan you won't find a better Batman game on the system.
-
80Even though it's very close to the same game in a different skin, LEGO Batman is still a lot of fun to play, with a lot of places to explore and a lot of extras to uncover.
-
LEGO Batman is great fun, but it's too easy and too familiar to get really excited about. [Nov 2008, p.92]
-
No challenge, but weirdly addicting, with lots of secrets to come back for.
-
75Fans of Lego games and the Dark Knight alike will likely enjoy Lego Batman for the DS as it is an enjoyable game for those on the go.
-
LEGO Batman is lots of fun, especially if you haven't played a LEGO title before. [Dec 2008, p.96]
-
73All in all, the game handles pretty well. There are a few bumps in the road as combat is shallow, the challenge level is low, and the amusing cut scenes fail to make the DS version.
-
It wasn't a bad game, just too much too soon. I hope that Lucasarts and Travellers Tales learn their lesson from this mistake and wait a while for the next LEGO release.
-
Even Two-Face wouldn't leave this choice to chance - LEGO Batman delivers a now familiar adventure, but one that is packed with fun characters and provides much long-term enjoyment.
-
Holy licence to print money! They’ve done it again. For the moment, the LEGO game formula is still working its magic.
-
70Batman is back in the most unlikely of his incarnations. If you love collecting LEGO studs and you are a big fan of the hero of Gotham, then you'll love this game. With two separate quests, you can play as the heroes or the villains, a huge roster of LEGO versions of great characters. Really fun, very big, but unfortunately, very similar to previous entries.
-
68LEGO Batman's DS version will surely appeal to players who enjoyed the other LEGO series games. However, it won't leave the same impression or sensation that any previous version left.
-
60With vehicles, suits and lots of classic characters, LEGO Batman: The Videogame is a fun DS game worth your time. It's not as attractive as the PSP version and it doesn't take great advantage of the hardware, but if Nintendo's system is all you own, it's worth a trip to the Batcave.
-
58Adults still captivated by the Lego formula will probably find more to like in the shinier console versions, but if you know a young Dark Knight-in-training, Lego Batman for DS offers enough competent (but largely unexciting) action and unlockables to keep 'em busy for some time.
-
It's a simple, bland, but competent game for kids and no one else.
