You will absolutely regret buying this game because you'll be bored out of your mind. I'm sure EA did the best job they could, but the system limitations lead to a very generic gameplay. The real culprit here is the cartrige because it can't hold very much. Also the DS can only produce descent graphics but I'm not saying that it's a bad system. Decent football game for the system. However, the kicking is very frustrating.

So, the question remains, is it worth it to upgrade from 06 to 07? If improved graphics and new rosters do it for you, the answer is yes. If not, you may want do better by waiting to see what 08 brings. [Oct. 2006, p.90]
  2. Madden NFL 07 overcomes its no-frills presentation by providing all of the play modes and rich football fundamentals that fans have come to expect.

Aside from the horrid kicking issues (that will have people returning their games, assuming it’s a faulty copy), the rest of the package is actually pretty strong. There are a ton of modes and options, lots of multiplayer, and the overall graphical and audio presentation has received a bit of a bump as well.
