  1. It's no triple-A title, but for the money you simply can't go wrong. Buy it.
  2. Mechanic Master is easily one of the most thought-provoking and inventive puzzle games I have played all year.
  3. 76
Mechanic Master does the job nicely with some really good challenges in a solid touch-screen interface.
  4. 75
Not a bad little puzzler at all. More fun than expected and a welcome distraction for the holidays.
  5. What this game lacks in originality it more than makes up for in execution and puzzle fun.
  6. A few more layers of polish, a little more originality, and an interesting story with some substance would make it a much better game. Regardless, it boils down to a good puzzle experience with gameplay that's strong enough to carry the weight.
  7. Midway was clever to release this 'clone' now instead of waiting for the real Incredible Machine to show up. Either way, this game delivers and for 30$, the investment is worth every penny. So until the real game makes its appearance on the DS or elsewhere, Mechanic Master will keep you busy for a long time.
  8. Mechanic Master is a fantastic concept but one that hasn't realised its full potential. It's undoubtedly a fun game and one that I really enjoyed playing through, but it's a little too easy and the selection of items could do with expanding, to increase the complexity of the puzzles.
  9. There's nothing functionally wrong with the game, but the brutal truth is that there isn't a whole lot right with it, either. It simply is, existing for the sake of its own presence. The mechanics may work, but this one could have really used a bit more polish.
