  1. If you are a fan of the movie and own a DS, Napoleon Dynamite: The Game is pretty much a must buy.

7 Studios really nailed the license on this game. Although the presentation is as times a bit bland, the minigames are generally well done and capture the spirit of the film perfectly.
  3. A lackluster presentation does nothing to help make the minigames available worth playing -- in and of themselves, the minigames are adequate, with a few near-broken ones tossed in, but there's simply no life or feeling contained therein.
  4. If nothing else, Napoleon Dynamite gives you a unique experience, but it doesn't necessarily give you a consistently fun one.
  5. Suspending your disbelief in a theatre is one thing, but engaging in a socially inept character's seemingly redundant flights of fancy via overtly over-exaggerated mini games is all kinds of messy.
  6. It's unlikely that many were begging for a Napoleon Dynamite-themed minigame collection, and those few who were will be disappointed by this shabby effort.
  7. It doesn't matter if you are the movie's biggest fan or a young child who can only play simple games; this shovelware deserves no space in your home.
  8. 30
The core problem with Napoleon Dynamite: The Game is that it totally disregards the humor of the film (and, as such, of the audience it's attempting to reach). The whole joke of Napoleon Dynamite was that Jon Heder's titular character constantly claims to have more skill than he actually possesses. In the game, you have all that skill and more.
  9. To make matters worse, the visuals are a horrible, pixilated mess. In all honesty, they remind me a bit of Pit Fighter, for those of you that played it on the Genesis or SNES. The sound doesn't fare much better, and you'll be turning the sound off (if not the game) in a matter of minutes.

I'm actually really surprised at how stupidly cool this game is. If Napoleon had to be a game this is what it'd look like. Cheap ass card board cut out, tacky art...Gears of what? Full Review »

For what it is, this game is friggin awesome. I really enjoyed all of the mini-games and the story. Definitely worth the $20.
