Obviously, Naruto fans will love this, but so will side-scroller die-hards and those who love the old 2D, left-to-right with giant, colorful characters business.
-
60Ninja Council 4 is a hard game to recommend true fans of the spiky haired ninja even with the cool roster of characters. Unfortunately, there are a number of problems that will not fail to annoy anyone looking for a good action platform game with plenty of that awesome Jutsu.
-
55Ninja Council 4 is – you guessed it – quite a lot like Ninja Council 3 was two years ago, and therein lies the problem.
-
Only the most hardcore of Naruto fans will be truly happy with this one. [July 2009, p.89]
-
Not enough new features and an obsolete game system.
-
The lack of play modes in this title is really appalling. Just having the main story mode as well as a multi-cart multiplayer option is not enough to keep you coming back.
-
42For those of you looking for some type of classic 16-bit style platformer, I'd definitely give this a pass, as the experience isn't nearly as polished as something like a Mario, Kirby, or Sonic title.
-
40The game also suffers from a lack of content.
-
Even fans will have a hard time enjoying Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Council 4 when compared to other Naruto franchise games or, for that matter, action-platforming titles in general.
-
40Ninja Council 4 disappointed us. The sloppy controls, ancient presentation and sub par multiplayer options will leave you reaching for another Naruto game. You know, one that's actually fun.
