  1. Need for Speed: Nitro isn't the best racer on the DS. It's not even the best goofy racer on the DS, an honor that will probably always belong to the console's iteration of Mario Kart. It is, however, a lot of fun to play.
  2. Need For Speed: Nitro is a perfectly average racing game on DS. You probably won't be blown away by it, but if you're looking for specific type of game to fill a gap in your DS library, you could pick a worse title than this.
  3. Sure, there's not much variety, the music leaves something to be desired and the graphics can get a bit rough, but the gameplay itself offers a good sense of speed, plenty of character, and, more importantly, it's fun.
  4. 68
While Need for Speed Nitro on Nintendo Wii absolutely screams for a sequel, the DS version is a bit more subdued overall. Despite having more modes, locales, and overall depth to the career mode, the overall experience just doesn’t come together like it should.

The best part of this game is undeniable the car physics simulation. It's so realistic, and innovative! Other games need to learn from this. The graphics are okay. Expand

This game on the DS is just fun... much more arcade than previous NFS games. Within minutes I was laughing and was also impressed with some cool camera moves. Collapse
