The difficulty level is there providing a challenge, the game is fun, however as with all sport games such as this, it can be difficult to control unless you’re sitting down at a table. Don’t let that stop you from trying it out though – New International Track & Field is the next best thing to being at the Beijing games.
It may not have an official Olympics license, but it truly makes you feel like you are a part of something special.
It is weakness in the basic concept of the franchise, and some excessively similar events, which prevent this from climbing any higher in our scoring system - but as an execution of an admittedly simple concept, this is genuinely brilliant.
An oldie but a goody, updated wiht some quirky additions to keep it fresh. [Aug 2008, p.82]
Rapidly tapping buttons is still exhausting, but tight controls and a bunch of unlockables make this a worthy update.
Basic, shallow and sickeningly cute, New Inernational Track & Field is fine fo a five-minute blast. Just don't expect to stay entertained for long. [July 2008, p.71]
It is possible to learn the delicate demands of each event of course, but that can often take close to an hour of practice for each one – hardly the mark of a casual-interest game. [July 2008, p.125]
