This is an amazingly realistic game! It's like owning a 2 inch tall puppy that will never die. It is great for all ages, from kids who need to learn a little responsibility to my dad who might want to have a nice change apart from the shoot em' up games.

I turned 12 on May 17, and my parents got me a pink Nintendo DS! I had been wanting it for a long time! Well, they got me another game, not Nintendogs. I had been begging for a Nintendo for a while, but now I am FORCING them to buy me Nntendogs! They say it costs too much, ($30), but I keep telling then I'll buy it with my own money. I hope they'll let me, because I can't wait to have my "own puppy"! Expand

Cute and fun virtual pet game. But I found myself not having time to tend to my puppy 24/7. The game is probably best suited for those who have plenty of time on thier hands. Nice graphics and sound.

It was great, but my Golden Retriever kept on forgetting her name. I had it as Lucky but then I changed it to Rosie. She kept on being disobiedient at first but then she got very very good.

A really fun game where you can raise adorable puppys. Though it is quite hard to gain money to pay for all the puppys needs.

Great look and feel for this little sim - fun to play for just a few minutes, but entertaining in longer stretches too! I actually feel warm inside when my little dog comes running - and am learing quite a bit about dog training! Not really a "game" - but certainly worth a try!

adorable! It is fun and cute, with many things to do: walk your dog, enter contests, bathe it, feed it, play with it pet it, and teach it voice commands. Despite all this, it really can only be played about an hour a day. the novelty does take a while to wear off, espicially the feeling of achievement when you say, "sit", and it sits!

The best game ever! I love it and i can play for hours. the puppies are soooo adorable and the graphics are great!!! if you don't have nintendogs - GET IT NOW! You will fall in love with one of the many available for sure! It is cool because you can unlock dalmations and jack russels by finding a certain item on walks. for a dalmation - it is a firemen's hat and for the jack russtl, it is a book. I haven't found them yet but you can. I have two goldens and a sheltie. also a cute little white poodle. i have like 14,000 dollars and I love this game! I have the best friends version and a teal ds but they were limited edition soo yeah. well the piont is that this id the BEST game ever and it is worth every cent. Expand

I HATE THIS GAME! I picked it up like, wow, a new first person shooter. I love first person shooters, but in this one, you don't even get a gun! I've tried everything, but no matter how I touch the puppy with the sylus, it's always happy! There is no way to kill it, so I can't even reach level two because I didin't a gun in level one. I heard this was a great game where you kill evil dogs, but you can't! I returned the game because I thought mine was defective. In my next copy, you didn't get a gun either! Nintendo, in your next first person shooter, make sure you get a gun! Expand

This game is fun to play with if you love dogs! As you get farther into the game you can unlock more breeds and take them home and name them! You can enter competitions with your pet(s) too! You can also take your dogs for walks and meet other owners too!

  1. Nintendogs captures the essence of puppydom in its adorable stars and genuine charm, but focuses so much on being a cutie that it forgets to be a game. DS owners thirsting for companionship will certainly find some here, although it's really just a virtual pet without enough interesting gameplay enhancements.

The actual game design is amazing. These puppies look, sound, and act like the real thing.
  3. The AI, voice recognition (even with its occasional snags) and graphical technologies make it hard not to be impressed, and the overall sense of reward given for taking the time to really care for your dogs and raise them properly is certainly satisfying.
