The interaction with the virtual dog is done extremely well on the Nintendo DS, and even if you pride yourself in your masculinity it's hard to resist these adorable critters romping around on the handheld.
  2. If you've yet to play Nintendogs, this new version is another ace reason to get involved. [Aug 2006, p.81]
  3. It's sad to have to say that, since we still think Nintendogs is an amazing achievement and a great game - it's just not a great game for very long. In other words, if you're a grown-up, if there are limits to your patience and your time, and if you want a game that's not just for Christmas, it's probably not a good idea to pick Nintendogs.

  1. I just lost this game somewhere and made me cry. I wonder how my Chili (my golden retriever) is coping with no food and no bath. I just can stand it.

It's ok, except it can get boring, the dogs don't always listen and that can be EXTREMELY frustrating, and the dogs don't grow up, it would be cooler if they did, but they never died. Also, you can only teach it a certain number of tricks, and can only enter three competitions a day. It can get extremely boring after a while. Expand

The graphics are awesome and the game is really fun the first day , but it gets so boring after a while you can only take your dog out once an hour and compete 3 times a day. Expand
