  1. Panzer Tactics offer a great turn-based military combat alternative to the popular Advance Wars series. It's light years from having Dual Strike beat, but some players will surely appreciate - and perhaps even prefer - the more serious tone and realism of the historical battles in Panzer Tactics.
  2. Regardless, the game is still pretty good, except for the inability to distinguish easily between units and the steep learning curve, and so for those who enjoy strategy games, it’s a solid title overall.
  3. If you don’t plan to be playing too much multiplayer, then it’s a great game to pick up, even if you’re relatively new to strategy games. But if you’re looking for at least semi-decent multiplayer to go along with good single player, this isn’t quite the game for you.
  4. Only true strategy nuts should get Panzer Tactics DS, since they tend to prefer gameplay over graphics and other niceties. For a PC-era game, it doesn't translate over to the handheld all that well.

This is WWII strategy at its best. If you ever played panzer general on the PC this is a must buy! I was suprised by how deep the game is and how well the interface works. A great DS game for adults. Expand

I love, love, love this game. It's provided months of entertainment. It's not action oriented, it's strategy based, like chess on steroids. Is very enjoyable alone but can be played against another human. Great game! Collapse

A great single player strategy game with a lengthy campaign. It is a bit slow (especially compared to Advance Wars), and the controls as well as the battle system are complicated, but if you picked this game up you are looking for something more complicated than your average handheld strategy game. The game has nice well done graphics design and sound, but the controls are lethargic and much too complicated. The whole gameplay is too slow, and every little move is much too time consuming. It gives you the strange feeling of being too slow all the time. Expand
