It's compelling that it offers such a wide variety of different animals to see and help, after other competing pet vet games have presented nothing but the same old dogs, cats and horses for the past few years on DS. And it's a calming, easy-to-play experience all around that won't frustrate anyone, even the very newest aspiring animal doctors.
  2. Sadly, the game only has five short “chapters”, making it easily play-able in less then an afternoon sitting. The only replay value is in trying to master each case on hard mode. So unless you’re planning on becoming a vet, or you want an interactive book to teach you more about animal medicine, I’d steer clear of this one.

It plays more like a very informative picture book with some hand-eye coordination games thrown in if you want to keep reading. The biggest problem is that you have to do each test on the exact spot the game wants in the specific order the game wants, so there's no real freedom. It's not really a game at all. I give it a 5 for being interesting and having a variety of animals, but it really should have been a much freer game, where you can test and check things all you want and then figure out the diagnosis at the end by yourself. A very big missed opportunity. Full Review »
