An exciting adventure that will keep the hack and slasher in you pleased for a very long time.
  2. A straightforward hack-and-slash adventure, and not a very clever one at that.
  3. The downer is that DMC doesn't support one cart play, so each player will have to own their own copy of the game.

Sure there are tons of moves and combos to unlock, but the enemies don't require any of these earned skills, which sort of defeats the purpose of seeking them out.
  5. Three simple touch-controlled minigames add variety, but not enough to give a shine to this lackluster effort. [Aug 2006, p.87]
  6. Actual play is a letdown. Moving between alleyways and tropical isles, you'll endlessly hack away at zombies, natives, vultures, villagers, and guards, each a carbon copy of the next. Sadly, such brain-dead enemies prove little challenge, overwhelming through sheer numbers, not ingenuity.
  7. Other than the painful boredom, there's nothing overtly wrong with the game, and the co-op mode might be of use to fans of the film, along with unlockable art, characters and weapons.

It's kind of like Final Fight with pirates...except it's much more repetitive. If it wasn't a pirate-themed game, this would It's kind of like Final Fight with pirates...except it's much more repetitive. If it wasn't a pirate-themed game, this would have got a 5 from me. Expand
