  • Summary: Rayman Raving Rabbids marks the return of the iconic video-game hero Rayman in his funniest and zaniest adventure ever. Gamers take control of Rayman as he fights the Rabbid invasion to restore peace to the world in two brand new action adventures for GBA and DS. Each handheld console version boasts an original story exclusive to the platform. In the GBA game the player must help Rayman search for magical costumes that will grant him the powers to fight the Rabbids. In the DS game the player controls Rayman and his powerful otherworld avatars, the Guardians, and together they will battle the mischievous Rabbids. [Ubisoft] Expand

  1. It doesn't do anything so spectacularly well that you must own a copy. [June 2007, p.96]
  2. The game is far from perfect, but it fills a niche for those wanting a fun and funny 2-D platformer on the DS. [Apr 2007, p.85]
  3. A fun and energetic game that works well as a platformer, but horribly as a showcase. The game controls well, but has many graphical problems.
  4. When it does work it's dull and when it tries something new it fails miserably. [June 2007, p.69]

This is a depressingly generic platformer that provides no compelling reason to play past the first level. There is at least one between-level mini game whose sole purpose is to fill time; I had more fun doing my taxes. The single bright note: the soundtrack is actually pretty good but this is by no means a saving grace. Stay away. Expand
