  1. Nintendo Power
The game is far from perfect, but it fills a niche for those wanting a fun and funny 2-D platformer on the DS. [Apr 2007, p.85]
  2. Official Nintendo Magazine UK
It doesn't do anything so spectacularly well that you must own a copy. [June 2007, p.96]
  3. A fun and energetic game that works well as a platformer, but horribly as a showcase. The game controls well, but has many graphical problems.
  4. With rabbids like this who needs enemies? Solid but very average platformer starring a fairly unresponsive hero. Still, the music's quite cheerful when it's not driving you mental.

What saves this product is the gameplay. Sure, there are some silly touch screen intermissions, but there's a solid game hidden amongst the ugliness, from the fun traditional platforming elements to the original Yoshi's Touch 'n Go inspired touch-screen challenges.

A hackneyed title with a series of touch screen controls tacked-on. It feels like there's only one thing left to say: better luck next time, Rayman.
  7. The presentation is great and there's lots packed in, but the core platforming of Rayman Raving Rabbids is unfulfilling.
  8. The biggest let-down? Easily the graphics, which are full of chunky shapes and primitive, basic textures and colors that wouldn’t look out of place on the original PlayStation.
  9. There's a functional, if utterly unremarkable, platformer to be found in Raving Rabbids on the DS.
  10. Games Master UK
When it does work it's dull and when it tries something new it fails miserably. [June 2007, p.69]

If you have the means, then for goodness sake, stick with the Wii version of Raving Rabbids. It's a far more enjoyable (and prettier) experience.
  12. 35
The constant switching between three types of gameplay just means you'll never really get into any of them, and the hilariously crazy Rabbid characters of the console versions are sparse and disappointingly tame when they do pop up.
  13. While the Wii version is an oddly enjoyable experience, the DS version is a complete disappointment.

This is a depressingly generic platformer that provides no compelling reason to play past the first level. There is at least one This is a depressingly generic platformer that provides no compelling reason to play past the first level. There is at least one between-level mini game whose sole purpose is to fill time; I had more fun doing my taxes. The single bright note: the soundtrack is actually pretty good but this is by no means a saving grace. Stay away. Full Review »
