  • Summary: Strawberry Shortcake, her friends and the pets Pupcake, Custard and Marmalade are getting ready to enjoy a fun afternoon of races, contests and, of course, dessert as they participate in the Nearly-Once-a-Yearly Strawberryland games! It would be a berry sweet event if not for the bragging Peppermint Fizz and her pet, Cola Chameleon.     I think a more diverse selection of games would have helped add to the longevity of the title, but it's fun enough to keep a child occupied and the lesson to be learned in the game, as well as the well implemented controls, serve to make this a very desirable game for younger kids.

    Strawberryland Games might keep young kids occupied for a few minutes, but there isn't enough gameplay to really last them for long. The large amounts of reading and lack of flashy sounds and graphics will also frustrate youngsters. It's best for a rent, or a short car trip.

    The game's physical and in-game presentation make for a strong first impression, but the lack of quantity in the mini-game selection and lack of depth in the games that are available combine to squander the setup's potential.
