Sudoku Ball Detective is an interesting concept that will satisfy players in need of a spin on the genre. If you are not a fan of the quirky number puzzles then the additives are not going to sway your opinion.
  2. At the end of the day, Sudoku Ball: Detective is still your basic game of sudoku. The ball gimmick doesn't really affect general gameplay, while the four specific modes only benefit those who want some added pressure to their game.
  3. Isn't sudoku-y enough for sudoku fans, and not detective-y enough from mystery fans. [Dec 2009, p.70]
  4. Unless you’re both a die hard English detective fanatic and a desperate sudoku enthusiast, stay away from this one.

The text recognition works well so if you absolutely gotta have some Sudoku this will suffice, but hasn't the world had enough Sudoku by now?
  6. It was pretty short, I forgot it had a story, and the interface needs some work. It wasn't bad, though. It was just Sudoku.

Its based on an old english murder story, the story unfolds itself as you solve different sudoku puzzles. Most of the them are wrapped around a 3D ball which shows the loation you are currently in, the ball can be rotated, which makes the puzzles even more challenging, collect clues, chase the suspect, and investigate clues in the lab. I had a lot of fun completing the story and there are even more then 80 normal sudoku puzzles to keep you happy. For the next game i would like to see a more interactive story and more challenges but all in all a nice game. Full Review »
