53Apart from the stylus-based reel controls, there's nothing particularly good or interesting about Super Black Bass Fishing.
-
Once you're in the boat, the action gets unavoidably repetitive, however--see a fish, catch a fish, repeat. [Jun 2006, p.87]

I can't think of a more awful looking game. The textures are so low res that the water looks like a meadow. It reminds me of Atari's Duck Hunt. At any moment I expect the snickering dog to appear holding a fish in his paws - snickering at what a fool I've been to have purchased this game.

25The gameplay is amazingly terrible, the audio and visual production is a joke, and the actual act of fishing won't hold up against Radica's Bass Fishin' games, much less any actual DS or GBA cart.
-
20Super Black Bass Fishing may be budget-priced, but even at $20, it's an absolute stinker. The gameplay has no long-term value to redeem itself, and the presentation is a generic mess.
-
Random and mindless, you'd be much better off diving head first onto a rusty nail bed than enduring five minutes of this tedium. [Mar 2007, p.81]
