  1. The graphics and sound are adequate, but the gameplay matters most. That being said, having two screens on the Nintendo DS gives you a better view of the playing field.

It, once again, returns to the interface that's tailored more for the crowd that knows exactly what the heck's going on and how the game's played. But it makes a handful of advancements for all of Yu-Gi-Oh, including the updated cards, a cleaner way to review card descriptions, and...oh yeah, online play.
  3. If you have a choice between Spirit Caller for the DS and "Tag Force" for PSP, go with "Tag Force." It's a fresher and more thoroughly designed game. Spirit Caller is still worth playing, but it's not as exciting after "Nightmare Troubadour."
  4. 70
Yu-gi-oh! GX Spirit Caller will give the fans just what they want. A fun portable way of enjoying their favourite card game and much cheaper than investing in the physical cards.
  5. Yu-Gi-Oh! offers a very good sense of strategy that beginners and novice Yu-Gi-Oh! players will enjoy.
  6. The game itself should appeal heavily to Yu-Gi-Oh fans, with the online gameplay adding a near-infinite amount of replay value while saving the player the hefty costs of real cards. However, be prepared for a massive amount of grinding in order to unlock all of those cards, as well as a confusing interface and poor game manual.
  7. The card game's excellently represented, but the adventure's a flimsy husk. [Mar 2007, p.79]
  8. The graphics, presentation and most of the gameplay is straight from the previous game, making this a decent card battler with a fairly limited navigation system thrown in.
  9. Wi-Fi makes an ideal way for serious layers to practise for forthcoming events. [Mar 2007, p.81]
  10. 60
While over a thousand cards may look good in print, picking through cards that wouldn't be fit for the spokes of your bike five years ago seems like a let down.
  11. A great game for any fan of Yu-Gi-Oh!, yet numerous shortcomings, including the lack of an interactive tutorial, leave little redeeming value for those outside that fan base.
  12. Fans of the show and the associated card game will surely enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Spirit Caller, but everybody else is bound to confused by the game's steep learning curve and lackluster presentation.

I bought this game a long time ago and liked it first, but the DS has a big flaw: it doesn't last as much as the GBA, I can play previous games like "Reshef" or "Sacred Cards" and when I finish them I can leave it for a while, then return and erase the data to start again, this one lasted like 4 months or so, no, I don't mean daily play. I give this game a 8 because its really fun wen you duel as specially wen you attack i like how they use creativity in there attacks but they could put a little more effort into the graphics. Full Review »

It was very good but the downfall was the graphics.
