SalM.Mar 14, 20082A pathetic attempt to port the amazing Zoo Tycoon 2 to Nintendo DS. Only a few animals, horrible graphics, and a rocky designing scheme lead to the demise, while the overall game has nothing to it. The zookeeper mode has you playing 4-8 second attempts at minigames to take care of the animals. You cannot explore the exhibits, or your zoo. DO NOT BUY!

Oct 11, 20113Overall quite poor, the graphics are comical and most animals have huge heads compared to tiny bodies. The addition of being able to care for your animals 'hands-on' (i.e. washing the enclosure etc.) is terrible and becomes incredibly annoying once the zoo has more than a few enclosures. All the decent aspects of the first game are lost and the bad points exemplified. A bad port. That is all.

70For gamers that have somehow not developed an opinion on the genre, or for that new generation of young gamers-to-be, Zoo Tycoon 2 is a simple, decently paced title that still has a good amount of hands on interactivity.
-
Nevertheless, the title is a good choice for zoo enthusiasts and as a first step for players new to Tycoon sims. [Mar 2008, p.88]

70For the most part though, this game is all about gradually building up parks by yourself in the free play mode and relaxing with your creations. If that sounds fun to you, then you'll dig Zoo Tycoon 2 DS.
