You've got a platformer with polished design, tight control, plenty of replayability, and a hot gal in the lead role as the butt-kicking, high-flying, belly-shirt-sporting hero chick. Think Castlevania set in So-Cal, or Catwoman with some class.
  2. While the platforming gameplay is presented well, and the moves are varied and fun, the difficulty and the lack of save spots can be frustrating.
  3. The game is filled with very fun platforming levels which make good use of Kim's innovative gadgets and moves. Some bosses could be a bit frustrating, and the Rufus levels are a bit dull.
  4. The review score by the way reflects the age it was targeted at – if you are outside of the 6-11 age group, check the low part of the range, because that's how this game will score for you.
  5. Whereas the first game was a side-scrolling brawler, this version is more of an action platformer.
  6. Throw in cool rapport between Kim and friends Wade and Ron, fairly good tunes, and a turn playing as a naked mole rat (ooh, provocative!), and you've got a winner.
  7. Adapting the grappling hook idea and gameplay from Bionic Commando has given the game some depth, as have the other gadgets and gizmos. The graphics too have captured the essence of the cartoon, so fans will be pleased. However, it loses out on some fairly mediocre sound and some overly easy and repetitive gameplay.
  8. Stylized art and animation, an athletic superspy and lots of jumping, grappling and fighting make Kim Possible 2 an engaging platformer - especially for fans of the Kim Possible TV series. [Sept 2004, p.116]

But you'll really feel proud if you're finally able to finish an episode. Much, much better than the first game! Full Review »
