Fun to drive around the Metal Gear Solid-based levels, complete with crates and the familiar MGS theme song, but who's going to figure out that a couple tracks are based on "Pop'n Twinbee"?
  2. An incredibly entertaining game that's certainly worthy of the attention of any kart-racing fan.
  3. 82
It plays like, looks like, feels like, and IS like Mario Kart, which is a good thing!
  4. 60
Tracks are short, plus the extra game modes don’t do the game any justice.
  5. A Mario-esque mascot racer. [Feb 2003, p.97]
  6. Brings back the enjoyment of multiple tracks and fun, fast-paced racing, while at the same time adding new twists and more stages than similar racing games of the past.
  7. It may be derivative, but it’s still a lot of fun. The only real negative may be that most players have probably not heard of many of the included characters.
  8. I honestly don't really dig this game. The graphics are pretty, and the sound is hilarious, it's a little brief, but I never could get into the game.
  9. Great graphics, decent sound, and riotous gameplay. It's all good.

Wow, they sure ripped off Mario Kart here. But they also improved things in some ways. There are license tests ala Gran Turismo. The items are actually useful and original unlike most other mario kart rip offs. Something kinda funny is there's a spedometer in the lower right hand corner of the screen and at most times it in the 170km/hr range! Don't get the wrong idea though, this racer has awesome track design, great new characters, and well thought out items. It also has a relatively deep single player game, which might make it the best kart racer on the gba. Seriously. Full Review »
