  1. Comes as close to game playing perfection as possible. It's fantastic amalgamation of intense single player action and exciting 4 player entertainment shouldn't be missed by anyone with a GBA.
  2. 100
It's all the fun of the original in the palm of your hand.
  3. 100
Overall, Super Circuit handles like a front-runner, but sometimes the windshield needs cleaning.
  4. Not in our wildest dreams could we have imagined it to be so damn addictive!
  5. 100
Offers gamers a quality racing title with weapons, and the ability to keep players' attention for years.
  6. Lastability for this game is one of the highest for any portable title.
  7. The graphics, sound, and gameplay all set benchmarks that other developers will attempt to surpass.
  8. 96
Plenty of tracks, options, characters, and personality -- there's a lot to like.
  9. 95
Shows off everything the system's capable of, from the single and multiple cartridge, four player link, to the digitized audio, to the hardware's pseudo-3D capabilities.
  10. The thing that makes Mario Kart such a replayable racer is the gorgeous handling of the vehicles. Forget things like Crash Team Racing and Diddy Kong - Mario Kart Super Circuit drives so well it feels like the GBA is hotwired into your brain. [GamesMaster Magazine]
  11. As it is, the sound is very good, but with earphones, it's simply phenomenal.
  12. As good as it gets. We sincerely doubt whether another driving game - of any kind - will beat this for some time. Go buy it. [Winter 2001, p.38]
  13. One of the most ingenious games ever to come from the Nintendo stable.
  14. You simply must listen to the game via headphones to truly appreciate the audio. This game in particular makes great use of stereo separation.
  15. The perfect amalgamation of it's cousins, employing the best bits from both and coming up trumps.
  16. If you play this game over and over like I did, then you will find something new and challenging each and every time you plug it in.
  17. Fortunately, although the naming scheme has strayed from tradition, the gameplay is exactly what you expect of Mario Kart.
  18. The visuals in Mario Kart: Super Circuit are mind numbingly perfect.
  19. 90
All in all, Mario Kart Super Circuit takes the crown from "Advance GTA" as the top portable racing title, and has finally topped the SNES version in regards to overall fun factor.
  20. Amazingly, the game exceeds both its Super NES and Nintendo 64 ancestors, making it a serious contender for the best kart-racer yet released.
  21. Combines the best of the first two games. [Oct 2001, p.156]
  22. Not only visually resembles Mario Kart, but also sounds and plays just like one of the most memorable racing games of all time.
  23. A balanced blend of "Super Mario Kart" and "Mario Kart 64." [Feb 2003, p.97]
  24. 80
A sure thing for any GBA owner and makes for an above-average multiplayer racer.

It's a lot like Super Mario Kart, which is a very goog thing for the number of people disappointed with Mario Kart 64.
