  1. Even though it’s very fun, it’s just over way too fast.
  2. While destroying and smashing things in a non-bloody way is always fun to do, this game doesn't offer much to keep players' attention in the long run.
  3. Unlike every other game in the known universe (and three or four from a small developer based in 7-Space), you can't turn off the game's forgettable music, which alas drowns out the game's weapon and engine effects.
  4. Nintendo Power
The game could benefit from a multiplayer mode, but the solo action is pretty smashing. [July 2002, p.151]
  5. Game Informer
There really isn't enough game here to justify a purchase. [Apr 2002, p.89]

Monster Jam won't last more than a single sitting.
  7. Unfortunately, for all its intensity, the experience will be very brief indeed as the lack of a multiplayer mode virtually cripples this content-light cartridge.
