  1. The quintessential game of serendipity... The best shooter ever made.
  2. 80
There are no continues and no in-game saves, a turn-off to anyone without the time to memorize boss patterns and an effective way to kill the point of that whole “portable” thang.
  3. A lengthy enough endeavor for shooter fans of a mildly forgiving disposition.
  4. Nintendo Power

    It's simple but furious. [Jan 2002, p.134]
  5. 60
Maybe it is the fact that you will frustratingly lose lives because it is not always clear what is potentially deadly scenery, and what is harmless background...Whatever it is, there is something lacking that denigrates this game workmanlike and a tad dull.
  6. Play Magazine
    60
A nice alternative to "Gradius." [Feb 2002, p.66]
  7. Game Informer
    50
    Extremely boring. [Jan 2002, p.98]
