  1. As close to the console versions as you possible can get. The game’s visuals are very well done and the sound is pretty cool in itself.
  2. 76
The game's particularly ruthless A.I can offset the fun a little. Surviving certain levels is tough enough, but having to do it over and over to complete all the objectives borders on the inhumane.
  3. Short but sweet; put Spy Hunter down as one of life's nice little surpises. [June 2002, p.87]
  4. 72
As well-produced as SpyHunter is on the GBA, it's just not tight in its mission layouts, and the strategy isn't made very clear the first time around the course.
  5. Collision detection problems, too dark color palette, and boring objectives are the main problems. However, even a jaded reviewer like myself can find a lot to like with SpyHunter.
  6. The missions are not terribly hard, but yet it still makes for a fulfilling experience to complete a mission.
  7. It's not badly done action. I only wish it was arranged better. Not in need of more explosions, not utterly boring and certainly not bad-looking; it's just, regrettably, dry.
  8. Runs like a well-oiled machine. [Sept 2002, p.168]
  9. A great-looking game, though the gameplay can start to wear thin pretty quickly.
  10. 60
The linear gameplay can get extremely frustrating.
  11. 50
It should have stuck to its roots a bit more.
  12. Some games just can't be done justice on a hand-held system, and this is one of them. [Winter 2003, p.34]
  13. 42
The graphics are muddy and blocky, making it difficult to tell what's happening, even with the brightness turned all the way up. [June 2002, p.86]
