  1. Not only will expose a whole new generation to one of the classics, it will challenge those who remember it the first time around.
  2. You may argue that Mario Advance is old fashioned, but it’s a testament to the strength of the gameplay that it still pulls you in and keeps you fixed to your Game Boy.
  3. There are tons of bright, varied colors and it’s definitely eye-candy. This isn’t the best I’ve seen (Iridion 3D, Pitfall and Tony Hawk 2 look incredible) but it’s still pretty. I still can’t believe this is all on a handheld.

With its more strategic pace and multiple choices of characters, you can't go wrong.

And even in its diminutive form, the game feels exactly the same as it always has—pros, cons, and all.
  6. Its finest qualities are its simplicity, depth, superior graphics and outright compelling gameplay.
  7. The music is a wonderful addition and overall the game is just entertaining. Even the instruction manual is colorful and thorough.
  8. The added features, and classic gameplay makes for one great game.
  9. My overall experience with Mario Advance was a good one even though it lacks originality. It’s a blast from the past – the control even feels the same – and it brought back some fond gaming memories.
  10. Super Mario Advance might be nothing more than a beefed-up port of an old game, but hell, it’s a Nintendo classic.
