A Fantastic Hidden Gem who's only crime is being too short. Beautiful spritework and animations, gorgeous backgrounds, interesting story, deep side scrolling beat em up combo system. This is one Spyro game you really can't go wrong with.

Seriously this is really good, even as a kid i could tell how good this game was, really glad i'm one of the few kids that grew up with it. If you're a

Seriously this is really good, even as a kid i could tell how good this game was, really glad i'm one of the few kids that grew up with it. If you're a big fan of the GBA you HAVE to play this, it's easily one of the Best GBA and portable games I've ever played.

When i say beautiful sprite work i'm not kidding, this game is gorgeous. The best part is it does something a lot of GBA games don't: nearly everything is animated with a few frames, from light glowing off the walls to water shimmering in the sunlight.

Seriously, it's that good, play it. So much attention to detail. It's kinda incredible really. It physically pains me to not give this game a 10 but it's just a bit too short. But damn, this is an excellent example of quality over quantity.

The Eternal Night took everything upsetting about the first handheld game and turned it into something truly remarkable. With stunning graphics, tight controls, and a tighter combat system, this is a GBA game that everyone should have.

This game was really fun, from start to finish. It has incredible depth for a handheld game, and it even has replay value.

A good game which combines platforming and action adventure. A lot better than the previous spyro game on the GBA.

I got this game based on the the recommendation from another site. Turns out it was spot on: this is a well-designed, great looking sidescrolling action platformer that could be straight from the 16-bit golden age. It has nothing to do with the mediocre "3D" DS version. Unexpectedly, one more GBA purchase just when I thought that chapter was closed.

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night is a gift that keeps giving until completion.
  2. An incredibly fun, beautiful 2D action title that's deep and accessible at the same time. While the Spyro name might make some wary, anyone who misses this one is really missing out.
  3. While the GBA version of this game isn't quite on par with it's siblings on the Wii, DS and PS2, it's still a simple and enjoyable game from start to finish.
