  • Summary: The new NT video game uses the same dark and dangerous environments and adventurous themes featured in the new NT CGI film being developed by Imagi Animation Studios and Mirage Licensing. The NT movie takes place in a New York City plagued by secretive villains and strange, otherworldly creatures. Faced with these perils, the Turtles will experience their most trying time as heroes and as a family, as Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo lose their focus and struggle to maintain their unity and ninja discipline. As shocking as it may sound, the combat in the GBA version of TMNT is even deeper than it is in any of the other versions. On the surface, it's a mash-the-attack-button affair, but after a few minutes of play I began to see little contextual nuances that provided a wealth of variety.

It's an awesome throwback to old-school game design, but with tons of flair and technique to jazz up the experience into a contemporary piece. It's easily one of the best brawling games I've played in years.
  3. Nevertheless, regular gamers and TMNT aficionados alike will enjoy the tight gameplay and quality fan service. [Apr 2007, p.87]

TMNT for the GBA brings us a fresh new perspective on the old school TMNT game for the arcade, NES, and even SNES. But, it take them a step even further. With a fresh new look and enhanced gameplay, TMNT for the GBA delivers more than I imagined. And again, it is better than it's console counterpart. Expand
