  1. If it weren't for the sloppy grappling system, Ultimate Muscle could have been a worthy purchase, especially for fans of the quirky animated series. The bold graphics, battery backup, ability to improve special powers, hidden wrestlers, and versus play are definite pluses.
  2. Cheat Code Central
Getting past the lame animation, Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy is a better wrestling game than most simply because it doesn't try to replicate real wrestling.
  3. 70
A simple, arcadey grappler that’s likely to appeal more to enthusiasts of things that are insane than hardcore wrestling fanatics.
  4. The characters and their moves are positively hilarious, and the combat system is complex enough to allow two human players to play match after match without growing bored.
  5. Itis large line-up of characters and move combinations make a comprehensive wrestling title. But the somewhat clunky character movements and attacks may have some players stepping out of the ring.
  6. Nintendo Power
Until you get used to the controls, you may be stuck on the first bout. [July 2003, p.146]

This game is not bad but the graphics spoil it a bit.
