  1. The game looks awesome for a GBA title. The 3D engine used for the game looks great, and since there isn’t a whole lot to animate in space and there are only a few ships on-screen at one time, there isn’t much slowdown on this beautiful game.

Though the game suffers from some abhorrently long dialogue and music that makes you want to hurt yourself, the game is very, very good and plays solidly.
  3. A triumph on the Game Boy Advance, but it's not without its flaws. Given a bit more time to tweak the controls and further polish the graphics, Destination Software could have had a groundbreaking work on its hands.

The space combat features an impressive and fast 3D engine on the GBA, but it lacks a bit in control; it's a lot of fun once you work through the limitations, though.
  5. While the quality of the polygonal models brings back memories of the 386 processor, the fact that developer Raylight Studios was able to create convincing and enjoyable gameplay around it is an impressive feat. [Aug 2003, p.104]
  6. At times a wonderful effort and a tremendous tech demo that kept us entertained for all of a couple of hours, but that's all it eventually feels like - a tech demo. As a game, it's woefully shallow and it left us wanting something more.
  7. For portable action it works, but this isn't the type of game that should get a GBA makeover. Try before you buy. [Fall 2003, p.49]
  8. My biggest problem with the game was adjusting to the controls of this version... The controls are set-up remarkably well for the few buttons on the system. The problem is they did not include a sensitivity adjustment option.
