TrixMar 1, 20049People complain that this game is lacking something because it has no storyline. I disagree. This is gaming at its purest. The AI isn't perfect, it makes some foolish mistakes, but it is still very challenging. It's better than The Sacred Cards, in my opinion. because it has the two player option and follows the rules of the real card game.

70It's the game's bare-bones approach (card battling, deck editing and very little else) that makes WCT 2004 so damn intriguing. Under the simplistic exterior lies a game so laden with strategy and tactics that it makes our brains hurt just thinking about it. [Apr 2004, p.118]

85Where it separates itself from the real game is that it allows you to duel the characters from the show with surprising accuracy, you dont have the problems of picking up or keeping track of your cards and it allows players to play with cards they either cant afford or havent come across yet. A huge bonus.

85Think of Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship Tournament 2004 as being like the latest version of "Madden."
