  1. Deep in both gameplay and play modes, it’s a solid feeling game in that the gameplay is tight, the presentation is super polished and the game has Madden-esque depth.
  2. The sheer number of available teams, modes, and bonuses is simply staggering.
  3. It's hard to imagine a more enjoyable baseball experience. [May 2003, p.138]
  4. Acclaim made a lot of improvements and did a great job at capturing some of the spirit of baseball, but the actual on-field experience seems a little off. [Apr 2003, p.64]

This game is 100 times better than 2003 because it is much easier to play and all the modes are awesome. Oh one other thing... mxc is the best show on earth. Expand

The gameplay is great and there are several playing modes that are a lot of fun (series, pick-up game, expansion team, franchise, etc.) but the broadcasters often say stuff that is not relevant to the game (i.e. "the infielder had to dive there" on a fly ball to the outfield) and it is impossible to update the rosters because only players with the exact same position can be traded.
