  1. Replicating speed is always a goal for racing games and ATV 2 meets the challenge. Fast is fast, especially with the better ATV’s, and the blurring effect during boost use really does bring that sense of speed home.
  2. I especially enjoy the assorted tricks you can perform in the air, but the controls needed to successfuly execute those moves seem to be a little hit-or-miss. [Mar 2003, p.85]
  3. 75
Despite its overall graphic luster and enjoyable gameplay, QPR2 is relatively short on variety, and, as such, woefully short on shelf life, particularly for enthusiasts in possession of "ATV: Offroad Fury 2" for the PS2.
  4. If you own multiple consoles - although the game is solid across all three platforms - the Xbox game takes the prize, with eight competitors to the GC and PS2's six, along with a four-player mode compared to the other consoles' two. [Mar 2003, p.64]
  5. The career is extremely short and can be beaten quickly.
  6. Although the game doesn't have the intangibles that put "Freekstyle" over the edge, it's still a wild ride. [May 2003, p.139]
  7. The novelty of kicking your friends from their bike in the heat of a race won't last forever, so once that aspect of the fun wears off so does any urge to hunker down to a night of ATV Quad Power Racing 2.
