  • Summary: BloodRayne is a killing machine. The Brimstone Society calls upon this half-vampire, half-human agent to take on two missions in the years between the world wars. At the root of these missions is one man who searches for powerful occult artifacts that would bring Germany into a new age of domination. As BloodRayne, you must stop this man's elite Nazi army from releasing terrorizing creatures onto the world. With melee attacks, weapons, and bloodsucking abilities, your enemies won't stand a chance. Expand

  1. Agent Bloodrayne's acrobatic dexterity and quick response time would make Trinity jealous. [1 Nov 2002, p.77]

Sure, it's violent, but the compelling play engine keeps the game exciting-even when the content frequently goes over the top.
  3. 73
Despite some nice features, the overly repetitive gameplay will probably wear thin after a bit.
  4. BloodRayne's dull gameplay, soul crushingly overbearing sexual innuendo and uninspired design adds up to a very below-par package that makes it hard for us to find it in ourselves to recommend it to anyone.

Awesome! Ups: Wicked gory, great enemies (especially the Daemites, creepy!), fun B-movie plot, killing Nazis, wristblades Downs: More monsters would have been nice, and smarter A.I. "Guilty Pleasure" is all I can think of to describe this game. The graphics suit the mood, and it has a style reminiscent of 50's B-movies and EC Comics. The best vampire game ever made. Expand

It's in the likes of devil may cry, blood omen2, primal, those games are truly voilent and gory, but that's the way to keep games cool, exciting and rocking!!!! metal rocks in gore games!!! Expand
  3. BloodRayne is a pretty decent game with the graphics, controls and there are a variety of guns that can be used in the game. My only complain about BloodRayne is that it starts off slow. Expand

We look at the "best" and worst examples of games-turned-movies.
