  • Summary: For the first time ever in a racing game, players will be able to fuse two cars together on the fly to form a super vehicle with the all-new "clashing" technology. In Crash Tag Team Racing, players can combine their car with an opponent's mid-race to make a super-car equipped with a powerful turret gun. When clashed, players can either get behind the wheel and drive or fire an onboard weapon. Each character has his or her own uniquely deadly 360˚ rotating turret. Players can continue the action out of the car where they can explore the entire world on foot and collect upgrades for their cars and unlock bonus tracks. Collapse

  1. But you can't deny that Crash Bandicoot's graphical qualities are one of the best we've seen from a game of this genre.
  2. No element of the gameplay is particularly mind-blowing, while in return nothing about the game is poorly designed whatsoever.
  3. While the clashing adds new depth to the racing, this game just isn't as refined as it could have been.
  4. The game's not too much to look at andmost of the track designs are pretty uninspired. [Dec 2005, p.120]
  5. Admittedly broken down into its individual aspects Crash Tag Team Racing comes up a little short, however the overall game gels the pieces together to create an entertaining experience for young and old alike.
  6. If you can't sit down with three other friends, don't bother, but I'll tell you right now this kicks the pants out of "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!" - yes, you heard me.
  7. Unworthy of its namesake, and I really wish the developer had taken its time to study what was great about the original game before starting work on the sequel – the lack of finesse present in CTR really shows.

a very underrated racing game, and one of crashes most underrated games. It has fun racing stages, good cars and unlockables, and good comedy and story Expand

It's definitely a game that is better than the sum of its parts. But at the end of the day, I beat the singe-player mode and never picked it up again (even for multiplayer races). This game lacks the replay value of most racing games because the racing aspect of this game actually isn't that good. The merging with other characters while racing is neat...for a little while at least. If the game was only racing, my score would be much lower but the different aspects of it, the little humour, the slight adventure aspect of it...its worth a play. Expand
