  1. Functionally and visually, this game is a twin of F1 2002 for the PS2, which was developed using the same impressive graphics and physics engine used in "F1 2001."
  2. I stand in absolute awe of how underrated F1 2002 is.
  3. A very accomplished F1 product that will ignite the passion of fans. The rest of us however, should wait to see if the inevitable F1 2003 drives any better.

F1 2002 for GameCube is "F1 2001" with worse audio, less narration, updated teams and rosters, a slightly better framerate, no analog pedal control via the triggers, and a shiny, brand new box.
  5. The game boastsall of the F1 drivers, teams and tracks. [Sept 2002, p.163]

I wouldn’t recommend a purchase unless you’re a hardcore F1 fan, or even more desperate than me for racing games on the GC.
  7. This title doesn’t even scratch the surface of what the Cube can do, let alone what a quality game should be. It’s as sub-par as any other knockoff sports title out there.

I can't believe this game has only got 72% and is drawing with Lost Kingdoms and NBA Coutside (two games I have). It's fun! Any F1 fan should have it and every Gamecube owner should have it. I picked it up for £8.99 and I love playing it. Give it a go even if you don't like F1 (I'm not a huge fan). It's fun with lots of things to do and unlock and is the most under-rated game I think of all apart from maybe NHL Hitz 20-03 with is also very good. Full Review »
