  1. With its large expansive game play and large battles around every corner. The game is hard so don't expect to beat it down with out at least sending your Gamecube into orbit at least once.

Yet another remarkable production by the skilled developers at Intelligent Systems. The series finally returns to the console realm, and its radiance should incite anyone to do one thing: cross the path, and never look back.
  3. A shining testament to the fact that a game doesn't need to be flashy or genre-redefining as long as the gameplay and storyline are top of the line, which they indeed are in this game.
  4. The plot is full of fantasy cliches, so you can expect your fair share of dragons and lost princesses and Black Knights.
  5. Old school RPG is very much alive here, as Fire Emblem charms us with its engaging storyline, uncompromising combat and solid gameplay.

The only flaw is that it didn't go the extra mile -- but with a series of this pedigree, that isn't much to complain about.
  7. Unlike other games of this ilk, there's no movie presentation - you're never fooled into thinking you are taking part in anything other than a videogame.

I think unless you are a hater you have to give this game either a 9 or a 10. I'm definitely not saying this game is mind-blowing but thisI think unless you are a hater you have to give this game either a 9 or a 10. I'm definitely not saying this game is mind-blowing but this 2005 game sells for double its release price used for a reason. This is one well crafted game with lots of effort put into the game to be a solid experience. So many games are rushed to market with glitches or balancing flaws. This one is a warm story and rpg with lots of variety and player choice and absolutely no flaws in the software. No matter which style you choose to go with balance, fairness and challenge is always there. The thing that stands out to me about this game is it is obvious it was not made as a money grab. Even at the end of the game you get cinematics which properly finish up the experience making you glad you purchased this game as a keeper. Expand

Better on the GBA. Same game, but portable.
