  1. Whilst not presenting massive depth, should keep most gamers happy with something different until the next bout of heavily licensed footy games hit the shelves.
  2. Football purist may not be interested, but if you like over the top arcade sport sims in the tradition of "NBA Jam" and "NHL Hitz," this is an excellent choice to satisfy your football needs during the winter.
  3. An unusual mix of soccer and street culture. [Apr 2004, p.122]
  4. To get the most out of Freestyle Street Soccer you should play it with four players. It's not a very good single-player soccer game as far as the mechanics are concerned.
  5. 50
    Freestyle Street Soccer is repetitive.
  6. 45
The single player is more a trial of frustration than anything else. Players don't behave the way they should. Ball physics are ridiculous. The whole gang turf war theme is absurd.
  7. It's yet another example of a distinctly average "extreme sports" game that lacks the polish and creativity of the real-life sportsmen it's trying to emulate-slash-harness.
  8. Passing and shooting in these high-scoring battles is as easy as squeezing the trigger on an Uzi, but complicated button-mashing for trick moves, muddy graphics, and a schizophrenic soundtrack of Method Man, TLC, and Foo Fighters all draw red cards.
  9. If nothing else, this game should serve as a fine example of what not to do when developing a street sports game, and if it serves this purpose well, hopefully no one will ever have to endure another urban-themed train wreck like Freestyle Street Soccer.
  10. If you want the tricks buy Tony Hawk's and if you want to play something that has a semblance of recognisable football skill you'd be well advised to leave this game on the bench.

I think this game is really good. Putting soccer into street soccer is just perfect.
