  1. One of the most entertaining games I’ve played in a long time.

It's not quite the flagship title you might expect for a Nintendo launch, but Luigi's Mansion is still a must-have.
  3. The graphics are top-notch, the sound is catchy and simply lovable, the controls are delightful and the gameplay is original and just so much fun. But the whole thing is dragged down by the frighteningly short game time.
  4. When you’re talking about a Miyamoto launch title, "pretty good" just won’t cut it.
  5. Fun. In fact, it's five or six of the best hours you can spend on any system this year. Unfortunately, that's all that it is.
  6. Like getting socks for Christmas, it's good and comfortable, but not what we wanted. [Feb 2003, p.96]
  7. If you are a Mario fan, you'll probably walk out of the store with this one anyway, just don't expect the second coming.

The graphics were nice and smooth and it's great seeing Luigi finally staring in a game other than Mario's Missing for the SNES. I The graphics were nice and smooth and it's great seeing Luigi finally staring in a game other than Mario's Missing for the SNES. I think that although not very long or that difficult, it is FAR from a rubbish game! The handling is quite smooth, after you learn how to control Luigi there isn't much problem. It's a very comical game overall and you can pick what your favourite ghosts are. As an opening game it for me was fun to play and a bit of a laugh. It's suitable more for those who don't want blood fests, and as far as ghost horror games go, you don't usually get that - this is why it is original. Can you say that you've played another game where you attack ghosts with a hoover?! Expand

This game offers a different environment and gives an alternate twist rather than jumping on goombas. The story is short and for a fast-paced gamer can take less than 3&1/2 hours to complete. The design is enlivening and can be very inspiring. The game itself is a charm. Wile some might call this boring, I say it is a charming, animated adventure. Expand

I really don't see what's so cool about some guy in green tights with a vacuum strapped to his back.
