  • Summary: With the exclusive video game license of the NFL and its players, and currently in its 17th installment, Madden NFL 07 puts you in control the running game like never before. For the first time ever, step up as the lead blocker to create a hole, and then take control of the tailback and smash through, overpower, or slash away from would-be tacklers as you fight for every yard. Innovative rushing controls give you a game-breaking ground attack featuring all-new jukes, cutbacks, and the distinct running styles of your favorite backs. Expand

  1. To say that the Lead Blocking Control completely revolutionizes Madden is the understatement of the year.
  2. Just like you can count on the Colts choking in the playoffs, you can rely on EA's venerable football franchise to deliver the goods on an annual basis. [Oct. 2006, p.87]
  3. It isn't revolutionary, but the game still delivers a mean game of football.
  4. EA's challenge is not to simplify their simulation or stop adding detail, but to integrate those features so well that players can simply marvel at how advanced the game has become. The Superstar revisions are a step in the right direction, since they allow players to focus on the entire game one player at a time, but otherwise that's just not the case.

While Madden 07 does have a couple of great changes to its basic gameplay, it's beginning to feel like the same old game. It's a strong fundamental football game and lead blocker is a cool new feature, but it's not reinventing the wheel, like the passing cone was last year.
  6. Your standard Madden, with a standard amount of improvements. The graphics have reached a standstill, but the new gameplay features makes this title well worth the purchase for Madden fans.
  7. This may be the weakest console edition of the game on the market, but it's still recommended for those who still have it hooked up and ready to go.

This game is almost 7 years old, but still might be my favorite game of all time that I still play today. It has solid gameplay and intense action as well as little features that make you keep playing like the tournament mode or the create a player mode. The player/fan is even used in the campaign (superstar mode) which i think is really amazing. This game was awesome when it came out and it is still awesome today. Collapse
