  • Summary: Mario Party 6 offers a new batch of games that require both your fingers and your voice. In this installment in the Mario Party series, you can use the included microphone controller to talk your way to victory. More than 80 minigames are included. You can play as Mario, Bowser, or other characters from the Mushroom Kingdom. New characters appear on the board depending on what time of day it is. The game supports up to four players. Collapse

On their own they pose no real threat to players of average skill, but pit four such players against one another and watch the tension grow.

There's not really all that much new content in Mario Party 6 save for the microphone novelty, but in the end the final product feels more polished and enjoyable than both previous efforts released on the GameCube.
  3. Six boards and four gameplay modes give players plenty of options and hours of non-stop partying. [Feb 2005, p.113]
  4. Multiplayer mode is a blast, however single-player mode is useless when compared to the aforementioned.
  5. Not the greatest party ever. This series is in desperate need of a fresh injection of originality. [NGC]
  6. Truly a multiplayer game that should be experienced by more than one person.
  7. Offers too much tedium and not nearly enough fun, mic or no mic.

Mario Party 6 is my favorite Mario Party I have played for 2 reasons. 1. It had the day and night mechanic which really changes up the style of the game depending on which board your playing on. 2. It has everything that made Mario Party 4 good and then some. Overall if anyone has a Game Cube or a Wii please stop what your doing and get this game. Expand

I love this Mario Party game so much. I played it a lot with my youngest brother, and there are lots of minigames to play! With 6 boards, 11 characters, and amazing gameplay, this might as well be the Gamecube's best Mario Party game. Expand

I have to admit this is a really good game when it comes to a family game night, but anything else is just a little boring. The star bank, the day and night system is absolutely creative if you think about it, but the boards could have been a bit bigger. Expand
