It's the best baseball game yet! It's a grand slam!

This is the 1st next gen baseball game I've played that feels somewhat complete. It's almost a shame that they'll create another version next year and make this years out of date.

The best video game I've ever played. Controls are intuitive. The game allows the player to have lots of control. For instance, unlike in most baseball games, you can control how hard you want to your fielders to throw the ball. Player motions are fluid, so you can dive or throw, knowing that your player will move react as soon as you press the corresponding button. Also, MVP 2004 The best video game I've ever played. Controls are intuitive. The game allows the player to have lots of control. For instance, unlike in most baseball games, you can control how hard you want to your fielders to throw the ball. Player motions are fluid, so you can dive or throw, knowing that your player will move react as soon as you press the corresponding button. Also, MVP 2004 allows you to play with minor league teams, adding a whole new dimension to it's dynasty mode (aka season mode). In addition, MVP 2004 becomes so much fun once you unlock all the old-timers. Drawbacks: Learning to hit the ball properly can be a bit difficult; minor league teams are comprised mainly of made-up players; only a few minor league stadiums available. Expand

With a revamped Dynasty mode, a new batting system, and my favorite feature, Big Play Control, MVP Baseball 2004 is the complete package. [Apr 2004, p.73]

All three titles dish out amazing gameplay, but we give the edge to MVP, with its innovative fielding and pitching interfaces. [16 Apr 2004, p.L2T 19]
  3. Solid in every department, this one will be hard to top simply for the fact that it has very few weaknesses. While other entries might feature better stat-tracking or deeper Dynasty modes, they’ll be hard-pressed to be as well-rounded as MVP.
