  • Summary: Mix all the intensity of classic pinball with the sights, sounds, and savagery of war and what do you get? Odama -- the first pinball game that throws you into the midst of mighty clashes between armies on boards laid out like chaotic battlefields. Use the flippers to send Odama -- the giant pinball -- to destroy the enemy's barracks and turrets. Hit enemy soldiers with the ball to make them join your ranks, dam rivers, liberate extra flippers, and clear the way to the enemy's gate. Expand

  1. And despite being extraordinarily challenging in that way that makes die-hard games totally addicted but can drive off casual players, it is a game that every Nintendo fan must play. [May 2006, p.92]
  2. While any pinball game should have an element of randomness, there are times in Odama when an accidental ball bounce floods a river and sweeps your entire army away in one fell swoop. [Mar 2006, p.112]
  3. This is not pinball as we know it, but once again Nintendo comes up with a quirky take on an old idea. Very novel, but perhaps too complex for newcomers.
  4. Cross-breeding between a pinball table and strategy game hasn't lead to a thoroughbred. This one is pure ass. [May 2006, p.28]

This game is so good, a real challange for even hardcore players. I think that the people who have rated it low just didn't try. They gave up because it was to hard, how sad for them. The final secret level is well worth the wait! Collapse

    Under rated, missunderstood classic.

Anyone (magazines/websites included) that rates this game less than 80% doesn't understand this game. Which explains the disparity between user reviews, and so-called professional reviews. What we have here is one of the most original, intense, and wonderfully unique gaming experiences you'll ever see. It is magical, one of the require games of any GameCube library. Expand

I'd say this would be the best game ever if it wasnt pinball.
