  • Summary: Redcard 20-03 shows why soccer really is a contact sport with over-the-top kicks, scores, celebrations, and tackles. In this combination of fast-paced soccer and authentic gameplay, 50 international teams compete for the Cup Championship. You can play as fantasy teams, such as Martians, Ninjas, Matadors, and Apes, or you can create your own superteam. Take your team through various modes--including Friendly, Party, World Conquest, and Finals--and increase your players' turbo power by collecting boost points. Expand

  1. Serious soccer fans should like it as much as casual fans looking for a fast-paced game. [Aug 2002, p.143]
  2. A game which while enjoyable at first, is neither all out brutal or skill–full enough a simulation to make you want to hone either your fighting or football skills for months to come.

The ability to smack players around, power-up, and cover more field with lots of frantic exchanges of possession makes RedCard entertaining.
  4. Definitely more fun multiplayer than alone, I'm still not sure how long you'll want to play this one after the novelty wears off.

    Fouling better than playing FIFA.

Sorry to say, I returned Red Card after 9 days of mixed emotions. Being a big Hitz and Blitz fan (I thought they would name this game Kickz...), I greatly anticipated Red Card. The graphics are decent - 8, the gameplay is pretty much right on with charge-up super moves and shots - 9, the initial controller layout was an atrocity, but no prob due to the customizable controllers (Something no game should be without!!) - 9, and the Multiplay is only decent with only 2 players being allowed simultaneous play - 7. However, the real drag is the lame ass(or ungodly) goal keepers. You can rip a charge-up super shot just inside the box only to be stopped, and the next minute duff a weak shot from outside the box only to sail over the keepers head - 5. Did I miss something? Well, the developers did, and now I have $40.00 to spend on FIFA Soccer 2002! Expand
  4. Far too quick gameplay. Fouling is just madness, you get absoloutely nothing from this game. No features, it dosen't even include a career or manager mode! The whole concept of this game is wrong, Midway have ost their way on this one! Expand
